About ordering from us

But, First a Word About the state of things these days...

What's new as of 2010?

These days, of course, the art business is about the last place anyone with any sense would want to find themselves.

But it's what you do...

So you soldier on.

As for us, since the crash, we have found it difficult to predict how much of a need there might be for Todd's books. And hence, how many we can afford to keep printed.

Our industry is small—studies have shown that there are only about 20,000 retail art gallery businesses in North America at any one time—and our sales training materials are created specifically for the retail art gallery business. We make no attempt to disguise them as though they might 'cross over' into other industries, the way some do. They're for art dealers, art salespeople and artists. Exclusively. So, we have a small and targeted customer base.

And right now, that customer base is struggling.

Availability

Accordingly, we've tried to come up with a way to make the book available at a little better price. One way was to eliminate the fancy binding and covers. We increased the size to standard 8.5x12 inches—which really makes for a better 'workbook' style anyway—and added the 'spiral' binding, which is much less expensive to print. And we've passed the savings onto you in the price.

And we can always offer you -- actually encourage you to consider -- the books as 'downloadable' PDF files for you to purchase and print in the gallery, at home, or to read onscreen as 'eBooks'. The high res PDF file is 'printable' from your own computer — now remember, we operate on the honor system, and we'd hope that if you purchase that file, you'll just print enough for your own usage and not lend it out to anyone.

Then, we also offer a couple of the books as 'eBooks' which can be read 'onscreen only' and won't print.

In these trying economic times, it really is an advantage for both you, and us, when expenses are such a sore subject and everyone is attempting to pinch pennies.

About PayPal

For years we had an expensive merchant account but when the crunch came, we decided we didn't want to sanction the bank's efforts to overcharge us, even when we didn't use the account. , so we're using PayPal now. Admittedly it does have its limitations. NOTE: if you pay for a download, PayPal notifires us and we will contact you directly via email and send your PDFs or links to audio downloads.

But it also won't make note of adjusted shipping on multiple orders, so be advised, if you order more than one book, Mo 'may' contact you about a little bit extra for shipping. Probably not, but we reserve the right.

Audio

Of course, some of the books are available as spoken word audio and the same thing applies there: purchase the book as a series of audio MP3 files, the links for which we will send you when you purchase.

About pricing

Fifty bucks!? Are you kidding?

Even though the books aren't as thick as a Steven King novel, it's what they'll do for you that constitutes value. And what's more, if, after purchasing Todd's books, you don't agree, just send 'em to us, and we'll buy 'em back, no questions asked.
